Membrain Festival is an underground bass culture music festival focused on electronic genres like drum & bass, dubstep, jungle, grime, dub, garage, minimal and more. It’s known for nurturing community vibes and staying true to the original ethos of the bass movement - combining deep sound systems with a relaxed Adriatic costal settings.

The festival has been running since 2016 and has grown into a go-to event for bass music lovers from all over Europe and beyond. It blends powerful DJ sets empasising on a community experience rooted in underground culture..Taking place near Sibenik town in Martinska , festival promotes some of the best-known names of the European Underground bass scene and also includes educational lectures and workshops. It is by far one of my favourite festivals I've had a pleasure working on.

The festival takes place in pine forest near crystal clear Adriatic sea which creates a raw and powerful atmosphere. With a capacity of up to 1,000 people, the 2025 edition marked the 10th anniversary running over four days. For this special edition, I collaborated with creative director and founder Davor Dedić and his team, translating underground bass culture into a lived, physical, and emotional experience without compromising it's authenticity.

Zone by zone, the site was subtly reshaped into a physical and sensory experience without overpowering its raw character. Interventions remained minimal and embedded - fabric stretched between trees, diffused lantern light, and soft projections created an intimate, immersive atmosphere within the forest. Pathways became transitions in energy, with light fading and sound bleeding between spaces, instinctively guiding movement. Small, understated installations acted as portals, blurring boundaries so the entire site flowed as one continuous frequency rather than a collection of stages where the culture was not presented, but fully lived.
