AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 ARTISTS

During pandemic times I have met an extrodinary person - Adrian Ekenhall whom was diagnosed with terminal cancer in a year 2019. .The artist and entrepreneur decided to take his condition as a form of performance therapy and in search of a miracle he called upon artists and opened up a platform by the name of UK Colab..

The project “Around The World in 80 Artists” became Ekenhall’s legacy, a project which supports those in need such as young offenders, ex-addicts, and the homeless by community of artists.. Adrian has set up UK Colab with aim of circumventing the seemingly impenetrable elitism of the art world, giving both unknown artists as much exposure as more established once. He wanted to gather together a supportive cooperative that was run by artists for artists and leaves a global legacy.

Multi - disciplinary culture show has taken place over two weeks.. It included 6 days of pop - up events, music performances, female paint jams, DJ’s , stand-up comedy, film screening, workshops and much more. The top floor has hosted over 200 pieces of artists works from over 50 countries to the count.

Covering a wide range of genres and mediums, each artist contributed to fulfilling the central narrative of the show simply by being part of it. The event embodied the idea that art can bring people together in a way nothing else can - a message that felt especially powerful after a prolonged period of global isolation.Bringing the show to life required months of teams dedicated effort and coordination. Each floor of the venue was thoughtfully divided by theme: the top floor functioned as an art exhibition gallery, the middle floor was transformed into an independent concert venue, and the ground floor hosted a series of pop-up cultural performances.

The overall establishment worked wonders, seamlessly blending different forms of artistic expression into a unified and immersive experience.
